INFANTS
WhyCry Analyzer
OMG! If this works it's on the top of my list as the thing every mom MUST have! This gizmo tells you why the heck the kid is screaming its head off! You hold the unit up to the baby and it will light up a little face that comes with an explanation chart. The chart tells you possible reasons why your baby is crying and a slue of suggestions as to what to do to get them to hush hush. It's kind of like a mood ring for moms, but the company claims the thing is correct about 80% of the time.
I'm a mom who shares baby time with a dad. By the time it's my turn to take over, all dad wants to do is hand him over and hit the sack. This device has buttons on it that indicate the basic needs of a baby: bottle, ZZs, diaper and miscellaneous. Hit the button after each need has been met. When I walk in, he hands me the baby and the Itzbeen and I now knows how long it's been since the baby last ate, slept, had meds and was changed. Genius
Any new parent should have one of these! There are so many special moments you want to capture but hauling a larger camera around is a turn off. This baby sits in your pocket and is super easy to turn on in a split second. They call it "The Flip" because there's a USB connection built right into the camera that flips out to connect then dump videos onto an computer.
TODDLERS
MobiCam Video Monitor and Internet Kit
Now you can see your kids from from anywhere in the world by logging into the net and accessing this camera!! Both ends of this video monitor are wireless allowing you to keep your eye on the kids while still giving them the sense of being independent. Works up to 300 feet, has voice activation feature, also has night vision.
This is a GREAT way to keep toddlers busy and creating. The studio is designed with a built in camera and a desk like seating set up. Once they take photos they can them manipulate them and have fun with a high tech twist. Also, this is great because they will use this toy for years to come.
Stokke Xplory Stroller
When I was doing research for this segment I did a google search for cool-high-tech stroller and this is what I came up with. The design alone is something out of the future, but once you start exploring all of the functions you see where the tech comes in. I'm not talking bits and bytes kind of tech, but I'm talking the ability to swiftly maneuver the things from bassinet to stroller, then from a high chair to an escalator/stairs friendly way to get your kid from one floor to the next. It's beautiful and I love that it also has the ability to extend and adjust to a length that tall Dads feel comfortable with.
