Skip Hop Pronto!
Today on the airplane ride back from Vegas I was reminded just how much I love my Skiphop diaper changing kit, "The Pronto." Dude, this thing has saved my life on more than one occasion. If you have a baby in diapers, you MUST get one.
When closed , the thing is about the size of a rectangular CD case and as thick as about 5-6 diapers. The exterior is a nice material that can pretty much handle any situation you throw this thing into. Once opened, It folds out into 3 main compartments. The first is for holding the diapers on one side and its exterior has a zipper that I use for diaper trash bags and handy wipes. The inside is a mesh material with elastic at the top for easy access to the diapers. I can stuff about 4-5 diapers in there. Usually I try and stuff it with the ones that are fresh from the plastic pack, I mean really, how mushed can they get those things!? Next comes the wipes holder. It closes by zipper and holds a travel sized wipes pack. Now, the bag comes a cute clear red one that'll work just fine, but I tend to like the ones you can buy at the store better because they have that flap on the top that can make grabbing wipes in a hurry much easier than having to take out the one that needs to be opened by hand. Although, I did leave a wipe hanging out of the pack and the bag's material absorbed moisture a bit... no permanent damage done though. Last comes the rad changing pad the folds out into a wide space for changing on. It's really a smart design because the pads' flaps Velcro up easily with one hand making the whole thing easy to maneuver with a baby in your hands. You can also unzip this pad if you want to make the thing even more portable, although I don't think I ever would... It's such a great system all together. Last but not least It's equipped with 2 ways to hold; one is the material handle strap on top and the other is a clip strap that you can wrap around your stroller or wrist. I'm telling you, it's awesome.
One thing though, I do wish that there was a way that you could use the diaper holder area as a pillow for the baby, which I think the site claims you can calling it the "Pronto Pillow", but unfortunately the bag's clip is in the way and it wasn't comfy for Jack... so I just scooted him down and he was fine.
The Pronto is about $30 and you can see more at the Skip Hop Site.
What is the one baby tool you can't live without?
UPDATE: I was feeling the bag yesterday adn I can't understand why I didn't feel the built in pillow before!! It's there... very cool. It sits at the top of the change pad and is thin, but keeps his head from touching the hard surface. Now I love it even more!
